Christmas Cookie Round-Up

First, my apologies to everyone. I guess I just forgot today is the day to begin and I'm holding up the Round-Up. Here's my recipe:

Old-Fashioned Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

• 1/2 Cup Butter
• 1 Cup Sugar
• 1 Egg
• 1 Tsp. Real Vanilla
• 2 - 2/3 Cups Flour
• 1/2 Tsp Soda
• 1 Tsp. Baking Powder
• 1/2 Tsp. Salt
• 1/4 Tsp Nutmet
• 1/2 Cup Sour Cream

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Mix butter, sugar, egg and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour by dipping method. Blend dry ingredients; add to sugar mixture alternately with sour cream. Divide dough; roll out to 1/4 thickness on a well-floured surface. Cut out shapes, place on greased baking sheet. Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until lightly brown. Frost with Buttercream Frosting and decorate as desired. They're also good without frosting, but frosting is better for decorating.

I got this recipe from a newspaper years ago. I'm so sorry I held slowed the Round-Up. Happy cookie hunting.

Cookie Round-Up

The Cookie Round-Up is just about here. Lisa has gathered a bunch of teddy bear people to participate in posting their favorite Christmas Cookie recipe.
