First, my apologies to everyone. I guess I just forgot today is the day to begin and I'm holding up the Round-Up. Here's my recipe:Old-Fashioned Sour Cream Sugar Cookies
1/2 Cup Butter
1 Cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 Tsp. Real Vanilla
2 - 2/3 Cups Flour
1/2 Tsp Soda
1 Tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp. Salt
1/4 Tsp Nutmet
1/2 Cup Sour Cream
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Mix butter, sugar, egg and vanilla thoroughly. Measure flour by dipping method. Blend dry ingredients; add to sugar mixture alternately with sour cream. Divide dough; roll out to 1/4 thickness on a well-floured surface. Cut out shapes, place on greased baking sheet. Bake 8 - 10 minutes or until lightly brown. Frost with Buttercream Frosting and decorate as desired. They're also good without frosting, but frosting is better for decorating.
I got this recipe from a newspaper years ago. I'm so sorry I held slowed the Round-Up. Happy cookie hunting.
